A little bit of history

Chelmsford was founded in 1100 when the local bishop built a bridge across the River Can, attracting those travelling to and from London into the area.


Chelmsford offers a great selection of schools that are rated as ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ and a wide choice of nurseries and playschools. Primary school options include Chancellor Park and Beehive Lane. For secondary school, King Edward’s Grammar and Moulsham are very popular.


Chelmsford rail station provides hourly trains to East Anglia and London Liverpool Street. 

It’s a 15-minute drive from junction 28 of the M25, giving excellent access to the national road network. The A12 linking London with the east coast of England is also within easy reach. Stansted airport is 14 miles away by car.
